Car Host/Passenger Service Attendant
Responsibilities and Duties:
Potomac Eagle is currently seeking individuals to join our team as car hosts for our train excursions. A car host, also known as a Passenger Service Attendant (PSA), takes charge of designated passenger cars during excursions. The responsibilities may vary based on the car type but typically involve managing passenger seat assignments, making announcements, assisting with boarding, seating, and deboarding, overseeing the safe operation of onboard systems, and ensuring a secure and welcoming environment within the car(s). PSAs also serve as tour guides, aiding passengers in spotting eagles and providing insightful information about the area and notable sights.
PSAs are entrusted with housekeeping tasks, including window and door management, seat cleaning, bathroom checks, floor maintenance, window cleaning, and trash removal. They adhere to sanitation practices and conduct routine maintenance to uphold a clean and orderly appearance in the car. Demonstrating seasoned hospitality and effective customer service skills, PSAs are cross-trained to serve as wait staff.
PSAs play a crucial role in providing menus to Coach passengers, streamlining service in the Concessions car, reducing congestion, and assisting all passengers, particularly those with limited mobility. They may also be assigned additional responsibilities in Standard Dining. - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays and special events
Duties and assignments:

Manage passenger seat assignments during train excursions

Make announcements to provide relevant information to passengers

Assist passengers with boarding, seating, and deboarding processes

Monitor the safe operation of onboard systems for passenger safety

Act as a tour guide, assisting passengers with eagle sightings and offering knowledgeable information about the area and sights

Conduct housekeeping tasks, including window and door management & cleaning, seat cleaning, bathroom checks, floor maintenance

Remove trash to maintain a clean and tidy appearance in the passenger car(s)

Demonstrate experienced hospitality and effective customer service skills

Undergo cross-training to serve as wait staff during excursions

Provide menus to Coach passengers to streamline service in the Concessions car

Assist in reducing congestion in the Concessions car and offer support to passengers, particularly those with limited mobility

May be assigned additional responsibilities in Standard Dining based on operational needs
