Railroad Electrician Jobs in WV

Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad is currently accepting applications for an experienced Rail Car Carman to maintain and enhance our passenger railroad equipment. This position is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections to help keep our fleet operating safely and smoothly.

Duties:

Perform routine inspections and maintenance on passenger cars and locomotives, ensuring they meet safety and regulatory standards.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and air brake system issues as they arise.
Use hand tools and power tools to repair and service various components while maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and repairs performed.

Experience:

Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working on passenger rail cars.
Knowledge of passenger rail car air brake systems and the ability to perform COT&S.
Experience with passenger rail car electrical systems and HVAC.
Experience with passenger rail car parts, including but not limited to maintaining or replacing wheels, bearings, trucks, windows, couplers, and related components.
Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and repair instructions.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Experienced welder with knowledge of MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Core, and oxy-acetylene welding on surfaces including steel, cast iron, and stainless steel.
Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
