Our regular excursion is a 3-hour trip that goes southbound through the Trough, West Virginia to Sycamore Bridge and back. (It is approximately 35 miles round-trip.) There is no layover; passengers stay on-board.

For the ultimate in vintage luxury, choose Club Service. Settle into our restored 1950s club cars, complete with cozy loveseats, booths, and tables in an intimate, stylish setting. These cars are fully climate-controlled for year-round comfort. Savor five courses of elevated hors d’oeuvres and desserts while enjoying unobstructed views of the countryside. This is rail travel at its most indulgent.

While not air-conditioned, each window opens to allow fresh air and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Heat is available in cooler weather, offering a cozy atmosphere for your ride.

Step back in time aboard our 1920s-era coach cars—perfect for families and groups seeking a nostalgic ride. These vintage coaches feature cushioned, bench-style seating with reversible backs so you can face the direction of the views. While these cars do not have air conditioning, the windows can be opened to let in fresh mountain air and enhance your scenic experience. Limited heat is available during cooler months, and refreshments can be purchased from our onboard concession car.

From April to November, we offer an 9-hour trip to Petersburg on the last Saturday of the month. During this trip, you’ll have a layover in Petersburg where you get to explore the quaint town and enjoy the unique shops and restaurants offered there.
