Kitchen Staff
Potomac Eagle is looking for skilled kitchen staff members to join our existing team. Kitchen staff includes cooks, preppers, expediters, and dishwashers. You will be tasked with doing your part to ensure our onboard meal service is performed so delicious and quality dining experiences are created for our passengers. All members of the kitchen staff will be cross trained so the kitchen operates as efficiently and effectively as possible. This will require you to be adaptable and willing to do a little bit of everything that our kitchen needs to do its best work.
For example, you may be asked to assist with food preparation, clean the kitchen, wash dishes, prepare simple meals, and more. To find success in this role, you will need to be adaptable, hard-working, and willing to take direction. You should also be comfortable with managing competing priorities in a fast-paced unique dining setting.

- Must use positive language and possess social awareness skill to meet the needs of customers

- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays and special events
Duties and assignments:
- Cooks maintain order and manage preparation and service of food
- Cooks prepare and plate food and coordinate delivery thereof with waitstaff
- Cooks monitor wait staff in Standard Coach as well as meal service classes of service
- Preppers prepare and assemble food as assigned
- Expeditors ensure plating and serving of meals according to procedures
- Expeditors serve as liaison between wait staff and lead kitchen staff.
- Dishwashers assist with bussing tables, and wash, sanitize, dry, and restock dishes
- General kitchen duties include: Prepare food, serve food, clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, and utensils, and food preparation work stations
- Staff must follow all food health and safety requirements
- Assist with the unloading of deliveries and their proper storage and proper maintenance of the walk in cooler area
- Communicate kitchen needs to supervisors
- Interact with customers as needed
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays and special events
- Adherence to a uniform policy and grooming standards -must present a neat, professional appearance
